The End of World on Flickr.

The End of the World

Quite unexpectedly, as Vasserot
The armless ambidextrian was lighting
A match between his great and second toe,
And Ralph the lion was engaged in biting
The neck of Madame Sossman while the drum
Pointed, and Teeny was about to cough
In waltz-time swinging Jocko by the thumb
Quite unexpectedly to top blew off

And there, there overhead, there, there hung over
Those thousands of white faces, those dazed eyes,
There in the starless dark, the poise, the hover,
There with vast wings across the cancelled skies,
There in the sudden blackness the black pall
Of nothing, nothing, nothing — nothing at all. -Archibald MacLeish

Lumen Print: Experimental Mask on Flickr.

This lumen print was an experiment in using multiple elements. I dipped a cotton swab into my fix and drew the heart, the squiggle and the spots in the corners. Depending on the thickness and amount of fix resulted in the difference in color. In the top left hand corner you can see where the fix spread out creating a different effect. After drawing with the fix I placed a negative, a leaf, a pod and part of a fir tree. Print was created on expired Kodak polycontrast rapid II RC semi-matt paper.
